Trigg has alot more than 15 fights too.
i dont personally like trigg, but i have to admit all of his fights are exciting to watch and his record reflects this.
by the way, franklin is 19-1 with no decisions.
...but he's not too far behind either. Franklin is also more complete than Trigg but bottom line is both of them finish their opponents (or get finished).
I think people should recognize this about Trigg who only seem to remember that he got tapped twice to one of the most dominant fighter the sport has seen.
Isnt it interesting that while he has got schooled twice by Hughes, Trigg also demolished the guy who tapped Hughes twice and the guy that Hughes just squeeked by?
Hughes also become the first to finish Mach Sakurai while Trigg was beating up Mach bad but Mach came back to TKO Trigg.
Love him or hate him, he puts on some entertaining fights!!
Rich Franklin is another guy who has never had a fight go to a decision.....

Trigg is great, if Matt Hughes didn't exist he'd probably be my fave WW wrestler in MMA.

I also think the contrasting styles of GNP between Hughes and Trigg is interesting.
Hughes seems better at passing and est. a dominant position like the mount or that thing he did on Newton in the rematch (Nakamura briefly got it on Randleman recently) and finishing his opponet from there.
Trigg seems to be the harder GNPer/puncher and is able to finish his opponents from GNP even within the guard ala Kid Yamamoto.
Take Trigg's fight with Hallman. Trigg stands up out of Hallman's guard and throws bombs from there - you can obviously hit harder from your feet than knees.
Or how he was able to smash Charuto with those elbows after sprawling off Charuto's shot attempt.

Even in the early days Matt didn't put away guys he should have with GnP ie Ignatov.
Whereas Trigg has always managed to end people with GnP, and quite quickly. He DESTROYED Iha in his guard brutally.
I guess training BJJ makes me more aware of Matt's evolution, and that's very exciting for me.
Frank ALWAYS brings it, and you've got to admire that, he talks the talk, but really, I like him for that rather than the automotons that seem to be produced for MMA.

I still think Hughes and Trigg's pre-fight (fight 1)trash talk clips was the best and funniest so far in the UFC.
Everybody says they fight for the finish, but Trigg is one of a handful that actually do.
When have you ever seen a boring Trigg fight? Never.
