Do you have any strong feelings about who we night get as coaches of TUF?
Kevin Iole: The media day is on Jan 25th here is Las Vegas ... so we will know by then! ... My guess is that one of the coaches is going to be Dominic Cruz. That is a real strong guess. They want to prop up the WEC fighters, and they want to introduce them. So it would make sense for it to be one of the WEC fighters...
The average fan right now does not know Dominick and doesn't knwo what a tremendous fighter he is. So to me Dominc makes sense as one side of the equation.
I think it will be Dominick Cruz agaisnt X. But we'll have to see who X is. Dana's going to have a surprise up his sleeve ...
I think Dana likes that. I think he's milking it ...
I know one thing, at least in two weeks we will know.
Dominick Cruz, who broke his left index finger prior to fighting Joseph Benavidez in August of last year (2010), will reportedly have surgery this week, according to ESPN.com. The UFC bantamweight champion commented on his recovery process:
"It could be six months, but I'm not planning on six months. I'll say that it will take me eight weeks to recover and 12 weeks to punch again."
Will a long awaited rematch against Urijah Faber be awaiting him upon his return?
Dominick would be sweet to see how he teaches his "unorthodox style. Bring in Kid Yamamoto, he speaks English as he went to school here in the states, capture that foreign crowd.
