I was for the invasion because the administration kept harping on all the evidence of WMD's and an intent of Saddam to use them on us or our allies. Never would I have thought that our intell was THAT wrong.

I mean this conspiracy that Saddam would just start freely handing out WMDs is pretty far fetched, even back then with the hysteria about getting revenge on Muslims.
I mean just taking a deep breath and thinking about it objectively, it does sound really stupid.
What I fail to understand is I have so many proud, honorable American military friends. They swore a Oath to protect the US from foreign and domestic threats, yet they all sit on their hands and say oooh but the Commander and Chief.
Time for former and current forces, police and anyone else who took that Oath and actually meant it to start standing up to the politicians who supposedly took the same Oath.

9/11 was a pretty emotional event for most Americans. the problem was Bush and his administration and the media exploited that fear and anger to their own ends.
The Germans or the British may have been able to look at it more objectively as most Americans are now.
