2 Years ago ATT was one of the premier Gym's in all of MMA with Mike Brown WEC Featherweight & Thiago Alves No.1 Contender For the UFC Welterweight Title, it now that they have fell off with Numerous talents leaving ATT for Imperial Athletics such as Antonio Silva,Jorge Santiago and recent reports that Bellator MW Champ Hector Lombard has been training there also, i have to ask what has cause ATT to lose it's once prestige prominence!
The Lima brothers are on the rise along with a ton of many others that we will hear more about soon. Just like any other team there are going to be ups and downs.
I've Seen Douglas Lima in MFC and he looked really good i know he signed with Bellator and beat Teammate Ben Killa B Saunders and fights Ben Asken for the title next year, that should be a barn burner of a fight!
Thiago Silva!!!
ATT is a big business in south FL, they have affiliated gyms everywhere...the main gym in Coconut Creek does good business but there's good non-ATT gyms popping up like Popovitch, Brawler...Imperial wasn't known until Rashad and Van Arsdale set up shop...
They were on the decline up until maybe a year ago, but they've recruited some great prospects since then.. Yoel Romero (silver medalist Olympian), Bubba Jenkins (NCAA champ), Alexis Vila, and many other wrestlers and up and comers. The loss of Santiago isn't big because, nothing against him personally, but he won't amount to much in the MW division. JZ has huge potential but never broke out. Yuri Villefort was the only true loss. Alves is making a comeback at 170 and Silva is coming back from suspension, and Tibau is doing great at 155.. ATT is still a top 5 camp
The question should be are other MMA gyms on the incline.
there's also the Armory and some good gyms in WPB/Jupiter area
no. it's not
Lmao at this!!! We still have more guys in big shows worldwide than almost any other camp in the world. Not to mention all of the young guys that most of you have never heard of who will be stars in the next few years. If anything ATT has gotten much stronger with the addition of some of the top notch wrestlers we have added to the gym. Haters gonna hate though!!
I doubt ATT will ever be on the decline. I have family in Coconut Creek and I went by there to check it out and it was packed. The energy there is great also. Everyone seems so positive and cool. It's a shame that the gym is such a drive from my place, but I am thinking of going to the one they opened in the Doral Area (still a big drive from the beach, but closer than Creek).
