I don't feel Henderson earned a UFC LHW Title fight. I feel he should had at least 2 more fights first. I also feel Jones is going to wreck him. Just not an interesting matchup to me.

Smith1234 - I hate it when people think champion and top 1-3 people in a weight class, and he switches weight class, people think he MUST clear out the new class to get a shot.
It is not just a complete reset, like you never fought before, when you switch weight classes. Especially someone like Dan who was Pride's last LHW champ and recently beat Fedor at HW. He doesn't need to do anything to "earn" a shot.
Just like if GSP moved up he could fight Anderson right away for the title.
And THEORETICALLY if Cain wanted to drop to LHW (put aside the practicality of it and understand the point I am illustrating), then Cain should get immediate title shot at LHW absent a compelling #1 contender wh needs to get one first.
And Rashad if he drops down is entitled to fight Anderson right away.

I understand your point and agree with the premise, but I just think it's a bad idea. I think they should have at least one fight at that weight just to get an idea of how the weight cut is going to affect their training camp/fight. I would hate to see a less than exciting "super fight" due to a bad weight cut...
I like Hendo but want Jones to win, Hendo is an old man, Jones is the future of this sport.
I like Hendo's personality more but he is on his way out, for him to win the title he will end up losing it. I'd rather see a phenom like Jones who isnt even in his prime yet win and set up huge fights down the road, possibly vs Silva or vs the top HW.
Its def better for the sport if Jones wins. WOuldnt be mad if Hendo won because I like Dan but I'd rather see Jones win and he is going to win.
Dan's only chance is a right hand in the first two rounds.
