What would you say?
I know he looked pretty amazing against Johnson. Would you say he improved much since 2013?

he was good then too he just got overconfident against Thomson's backpedaling.
No. He's basically been the same striker for years. He's never improved his footwork or shown any willingness to check kicks.
When I met Richard Perez last month he was telling me Cesar Gracie thought it was best to have nate cut all weight in 3 days. (Thompson fight) Richard was saying nate was completely out of it at weigh in and that fight day he was so messued up from the drastic weight cut/dehy it was like he was hungover n drained even during the warmup. Apparently that was the last straw for nate with cesar. Talked about Cesar horrible coaching decisions for bendo, thompson, rda. even had nate training with a heavyweight who landed on nate and destroyed his ribs before rda. Apparently they dragged nate out of the ring and carried him into a car to an ER. Nate refused to pull out of that fight
don't sleep on Paid Diaz..
Thomson cam to mind when I thought of this fight so it made no sense....Pettis vs mcgregor would have made a ton of sense
Nick Diaz still GOAT - he was good then too he just got overconfident against Thomson's backpedaling.
madmav - don't sleep on Paid Diaz..Paid Diaz adding that to the list?

I am pulling for Nate in this fight. Doesn't change the fact that he lost three out of his last five because he wasn't good enough, matched up poorly. For his sake I hope he never has to fight RDA again.
I believe Nate now would put a beating on Thompson.
He looked very out of sorts and off his game that night, and was far too confident in his superior standup.
sagemma -Yes sir. Richards words where that the heavyweight went for a takedown and landed on top of nate crushing him. 2 guys went into the ring and dragged him through the ropes to get him out. He didn't say it was a boxer, sounded like sparing mma roundsI_HeardThat - When I met Richard Perez last month he was telling me Cesar Gracie thought it was best to have nate cut all weight in 3 days. DoubleBagger -Sorry buddy but this is what Richard told me. If he had mentioned anything about Maynard I'd share but there was nothing mentioned about it. Richard had a lot to say about Cesar lol.I_HeardThat - When I met Richard Perez last month he was telling me Cesar Gracie thought it was best to have nate cut all weight in 3 days. Excuses. Funny how those are all fights he lost? What about that annihilation he put on Gray Maynard that's sandwiched in between them?
I think the Thompson fight was just a bad day at the office for Nate.
tryonmytoupee -Cesar was screwing both diaz over financially and also by horrible coaching. Said Nick was mad and left after gsp due to lack of planning, training, and $. Nate left him after thompson. He specifically said left him but sounded like he was talking about management and coaching rolls. Maybe they still roll over there but looks like the do everything at nicks gym.I_HeardThat - When I met Richard Perez last month he was telling me Cesar Gracie thought it was best to have nate cut all weight in 3 days. tanner904 - Thomson cam to mind when I thought of this fight so it made no sense....Pettis vs mcgregor would have made a ton of senseRespectfully disagree. Pettis is on a 2 fight losing streak, and folds like a lawn chair under pressure. Conor would overwhelm him

Guess you missed his last fight against Johnson he was checking kicks to my surprise not all them but enough for me to notice
Dang I lost my one VU for sharing Richard's info. Harsh crowd haha. Lesson learned
