Is Diaz, GSP's toughest ever fight??

I believe he is, by quite a bit, to be honest.

He's like a combination of Shields and Penn, but with longer arms and a meaner face.

this is going to be lay n pray of epic proportions

I cant wait to see how gsp reacts to all the shit talking. Phone Post

Possibly. He's certainly the only fighter GSP has fought who's dangerous on the feet and off his back, and probably the only one with better conditioning.

Diaz just hasn't had to deal with a super strong wrestler in ages, so we just won't know until this fight happens.

I can almost guarantee that GSP will not stay on his feet for this fight, and Diaz is definitely the biggest submission threat off his back GSP has ever faced.

It should be very entertaining.

As I see it, Diaz is the most likely challenger to defeat GSP due to his toughness, hands, ability off his back, and that ever intangible warrior spirit.

He's not, however, the best challenger GSP has fought. That position is held by either Fitch or BJ (I lean towards thinking it's the former).

If Diaz isn't the toughest opponent for GSP, he will atleast be the most fun to watch against GSP.

Out of all his opponents, Diaz is the one that will push the pace and has the strengths in the right places. Obviously he is not of good as a wrestler as GSP, but no one is really. So GSP can dictate the fight, however Diaz has the tools to win the fight know matter where GSP wants it.

I think Diaz has a better shot than most, but win or lose, he should finally make a GSP fight exciting again. The only way I see this fight bad is if GSP can completely control him on the ground with his lay and pray method.

The biggest advantage Diaz has, that GSP's other opponents were missing was "toughness". I think all the other opponents wanted to win the fight. Diaz wants to beat that ass. Last fighter that came in the cage with that attitude put George down and finished him. I think GSP is probably the overall favorite to win, but he's never struck me as tough. Phone Post

You do realize Diaz dropped 3 in a row to Sanchez, JOE RIGGS, and Sherk right?

You do realize these fights were 5 and 6 years ago and Diaz was like 22 or 23 at the time right?

This is an extremely tough fight for Diaz, and he is rightfully the underdog, but to compare him to the Nick Diaz who lost those three fights is silly talk.

I see GSP taking Diaz down almost at will, repeatedly.. I think the frustration, not only to him, but his brother and team watching as well , and it will piss them off so much, they will try to act like thugs after the fight, and another brawl with erupt.

If everybody gets to bring up fights from 7 years ago regarding Overeem, Diaz is fair game.

Diaz will get grinded out

Diaz is a fun fighter to watch. He's tough, talented, aggressive, and mean.

But none of that is going to stop GSP from taking him down again and again and grinding out a decision.

at last some people who see this as a much more even fight than the GSP fan boys..

Diaz HAS the skill to beat GSP,of that there is no doubt, and im sure George is already working on a perfect game plan to win this fight.... but Diaz has no special game plan, its come forward throwing combo's non stop and wear GSP down.

for me the secret to this fight is Diaz must train TD defence from now until the fight.... he has the beating of george in the stand up and he has a never ending gas tank... stuff the TD and he wins the fight.

Diaz has good stand up however he doesn't have lights out power, he would need to land a lot of shots and GSP would likely have time to clinch or take him down.

On the ground I don't think he'll be able to get GSP in trouble given his wrestling base and how much stronger he is.

The most likely outcome is GSP clinching against the fence and taking Diaz down to a UD. Although, people gotta remember Diaz cuts very easily so don't count out a TKO via cut.

Diaz is not the best fighter GSP has faced yet, honestly I don't think Diaz beats half of the guys GSP has beaten in the past 4 years.   And GSP didn't duck Mayhem for whatever that's worth.  Personally I'd rather see the Diaz/KJ rubber match than Diaz GSP, but both fights would be a lot of fun to watch.  GSP by whatever he wants (he seems to like decisions lately).

Fuck no. Serra was for obvious reasons.
Alves was dangerous at the time and GSP had to really fight smart to win and not get KO. GSP has fought tough competition Phone Post

john kirby do - Daley ragdolled Diaz in every grappling exchange, Paul friggin Daley

Isn't he the dude who got knocked out? Silly how that works!

Koscheck could beat any one of GSP's former opponents.  After GSP destroys Nick, i hope to see Koscheck beat on him as well.http://www.perfect-icons.com/stock-icons/small-phone40.gif
