For MMA fans it was fine. BUT my biggest worry is the first timer....that didn't represent what MMA is all about. It's a part of MMA, but not the entire story. I made a post about just this scenario a day or two ago...this isn't the worst outcome...but it's definitely far from the best.

Hopefully this makes Fox realize the boxing model is not what the modern combat sports fan wants. We want a number of quality fights. Not an hour of talk and 5 minutes (including intros) of in ring action.
It's getting to the point where this place is unbearable.
Same amount as usual since 2009. But if you say anything, people just cite the few great contributors that are post 09'ers. The dorks have ruined this place. That's why we have the OG.

What this guy said. This is the middle ground both parties can agree on I believe. As a fan I was happy with the fights. But considering it from a newcomers standpoint I could see where this would be a let down despite there being a knockout in amazing fashion. And I normally don't criticize Dana, but despite what he says he was he came off as kind of bitter post fight.
