Is it odd to anyone else?

That JDS undergoing knee surgery for a pretty major injury is returning before Silva and his "Bursitis" Phone Post

Age is probably a factor here.

It wasn't a major surgery at all. It was just to clean up the meniscus. Get your facts straight Phone Post

Silva is not a young man in the fight game

Silva is undergoing a procedure to cure
his dicktuck. Gonna take like 3 years to heal Phone Post

I apologize I was under the impression that any surgery that a athlete may undergo is somewhat "major". Regardless the man went under the knife/scope Silva did not. So either way it had more of a significance then F'ing Bursitis jus sayin Phone Post

With meniscus surgery you actually walk out of the hospital or surgery center you had it done at. Doesn't take long before your back training again.. Exact opposite of ACL/MCL type surgery Phone Post

This I had a meniscus tear so bad I could walk properly for two weeks, after 2.5 months no surgery I was almost at full function. Phone Post

Not serious at all.  Will be walking the same day and recovered a few weeks later.  I had both done at the same time.

Doc said they had to do alot more work to fix all the damage

Just barely getting back to being able to jog.. Phone Post

I understand that, but compared to Bursitis?!? Phone Post

If we a trading war stories,

I had a retina detachment, surgery and recovery for 6 months and then I had the same thing happen again.

Stupid non titanium body Phone Post

a small scope of the meniscus of the knee is not a major surgery....a fighter could be back in less than 6 weeks with that one.

Now, an ACL reconstruction is a major knee surgery and takes much longer to recover....Basically a fighter will be out for almost a year.

What Silva has in his shoulder is painful and problematic....It will make fighting effectively very difficult and it is not fair for the public to ask for him to fight well below his ability just because they are blood thirsty....Plain and simple.

bursitis is chronic inflamtion in a joint...and in the shoulder, that can mean he has calcium deposits, inflamed cartiledge, etc...

i've had this in both shoulders, and besides cortisone shots, ice and anti-inflamatories, rest is really all one can do to alleviate it.

Silva's striking is his bread and butter, so i'm sure he's very concerned about getting healthy, so he can hit with full power.

I have it as well, besides being a bit of a nuisance lets be honest it's not that bad.. After maybe prolonged activity you may suffer some residual pain AFTER but not during! Phone Post

i've had it for a while (over 10 years), and i assume a guy like AS, who's older than me and fought the top guys in the world, prolly has it pretty bad for him not to fight.

people can rip on AS all they want, but he's been dominating the UFC MW class since he got there, 6 years ago...

so you honestly think you train as hard as Silva and been through the fights he has to experience his pain?

lol @ OP putting "bursitis" in quotes, referring to it as "fucking bursitis", and then after post after post pointing out how wrong he is, he suddenly has it himself and knows all about it.
