Some are saying Jake Paul has surpassed Deontay Wilder as the hardest puncher in boxing. With his win over former world champion Tyron Woodley who has never been 1 punch KOed before it might be hard to deny Jake Paul is one of the hardest punchers in boxing today if not the hardest puncher in boxing history.
In 2017, Francis Ngannou paid a visit to UFC Performance Institute where he created the world record for the hardest punch ever measured. The Cameroon-born fighter recorded a punch of 129,161 units, which surpassed the previous record held by kickboxer Tyrone Spong.
He’s definitely got some thunder, Ben had never been dumped like that either. That said he still kinda sucks at boxing, both Woodley fights were awful other than that KO, even the commentators were talking shit. I think Jake knows he’s not elite though and will carry his career the right way, on the backs of retired welterweight wrestlers, as he should. I enjoy the shitshow
He has legitimate 1 punch KO power. He doesn’t just rock his opponents when he lands. They go to sleep when he lands. He is a level above just a hard puncher.
People don’t want to give him his props because he is a Youtuber and is humiliating MMA.
You go back and read topics back when Paul was going to fight Askren… Go back and look at topics when Paul was going to fight Woodley the first time. Many picked Askren because he was a “real” fighter. Many picked Woodley because he was also a “real” fighter and better athlete who could punch. Now that Paul knocked them both out, those same haters are saying Woodley is just a washed up wrestler and that Paul should come to MMA or fight a real boxer or that the fights were fixed.
Paul will never get his props. He flat lined a hall of fame UFC fighter
I’m enjoying the fact that Paul is exposing MMA fighters lack of boxing fundamentals and their pay.
“But…But… MMA fighters can’t box because they have to worry about kicks and knees and takedowns, and blah blah blah”
Meanwhile some of the greatest MMA fighters had great boxing skills.
He’s a complete bum skillwise, but he has good power even though he’s hitting paid targets.
Hardest puncher of all time is something that would be said by someone who doesn’t follow the sport as a real objective fan and just someone who wants to get in fighters asses.
He’ll still never beat a decent boxer which is why he won’t fight one.
People hate him so much cause he reminds them of a guy that would bully them in school. And to see this bully become such an unstoppable force it eats them up inside.
