Rogan was already in Europe with Dana so they brought him over to do commentary. This is the best commentary team UFC has though. 
They're opening that spot for frank mir.

Too much dead air when Kenny and Anik are commentating certain less exciting fights and their voices sound too similar. Pairing them up with someone else might be a good idea.
Btw, Joe Rogan could make any PBP guy look better, imho.
