UFC's treatment of Makhachev is ridiculous. The guy should have been getting top 15 opponents years ago, ever since he beat Lentz and finished Tibau. But instead the dude is matched against young and hungry up-and-comers who are very dangerous but don't elevate him in the rankings. Beating them anyhow, now the guy is finally getting a name opponent but from another weight and on a losing streak, so the win wouldn't move him up either. What gives?

It is not just their treatment of Makhachev.... its the big names in the division wanting fights with each other and up at WW instead of fighting the killers like Makhachev. You see the same thing with Leo Santos, Oliveira, etc...
UFC wants to hold Makhachev back from being #1 contender while Khabib is active but they also can't make guys like Conor, Pettis, Cowboy, Diaz, Barboza etc... sign to fight him when they are bouncing weights or not fighting.
Look at the Charles Oliveria situation, dude is on a 7 fight win streak, what is his reward? He gets to fight #12 while he is #6 himself. It will be his 8th straight lesser ranked fighter even if its his best ranked fighter.
Leo Santos has beat Thiago fuckin Santos and Kevin Lee and tapped GSP in ADCC but he can't get a big LW fight despite being 6-0 in the >
Gaethje is 5-2 in the UFC but gets bigger oppurtunity than these guys who are on a longer road.
BT Sport promoting the same main card. It would be the best main card in several years if it pans out. It should be noted the UFC has not officialy announced the Zabit or Tony fights yet and tapology is not listing them either.

I don't know how Zabit even agreed on another try against Yair, my faith in this fight finally happening is about as high as it was for Khabib vs Tony 5.

So why would BT Sport and Khabib/management be hyping up this great PPV on twitter before Dustin has had talks with the UFC about the fight happening on this Khabib card? Dustin said he is training but has heard nothing from UFC yet.
Just seems weird to see BT Sport and Khabib's management pushing this on twitter before things are announced for the Dustin and Zabit fights.
