Is Mark Munoz one away from a title shot w/Silva?

I think he has to be one or two away from a title shot. Who is at the top at middleweight right now, anderson, okami, who else? Leben?

Mark and Leben would be good, or even Brian stann. I think Mark has a good chance at any in the division except for anderson.

Mark needs to step his stand up big time, go tell freddie roach he is pacquiao's cousin so he can put in work over there.

They'll need a title contender after Silva/Okami and the winner of Stann/Sonnen will probably get that shot.

All I can think about in a matchup like that is the vision of Munoz getting headkick KO'd by a fellow wrestler.

I really like Mark, especially now that he's training with Ryron Gracie, but this is Silva we're talking about here. He better make sure his striking/defense is rock solid before he starts talking title shot.

He should rematch Maia because that fight was a draw in all fairness. Otherwise, I would like to see him take on the winner of belfort/akiyama. Phone Post

 i agree with you on this one but like @infamous ed states I think a rematch with Maia would be in order as well. Him vs. belfort akiyama....i dont like that fight for him against belfort style wise. I think he could take sexyama out.

Munoz is still developing as a fighter and he did not win his last fight in dominant fashion either. There is no reason to rush him into a title fight if he is not ready.

if he expects he is going to get a title shot in about one or two fights he better go to wild card or something to work on his boxing and boxing defense. he was getting clobbered by maia.

I heard that anderson would move up in weight if mark was ever given a title shot against him.

I noticed Munoz hasn't had Minotauro's logo (my av) on his shorts in his last couple fights,

I'm pretty sure he's switched camps.

Still a chance they'd never fight though
