Does Nate smoke weed like Nick? I'd be shocked if he didn't because of how close they are. Since he's headlining the main event for Fox 3, I wonder if Uncle Dana is personally overseeing his camp to avoid a disaster with Fox. Of course, I'm kidding. Hopefully, Nate wouldn't be that stupid.

It's not Dana White's or ZUFFA's job to babysit these guys and make sure they are being professional and handling their business like they should. Also, ZUFFA seems pretty forgiving of these guys in these instances as long as it doesn't kill the fight like with say Nate Marquardt.
Nate Diaz has earned the spot anyway and so has Miller for that matter.

I 100% agree that it's not Dana or Zuffa's job to babysit these guys. I was kidding in my original post. However, from the aftermath of Nick's fight, I'm sure they can't help but be a little nervous with the network tv thing. I don't think the Fox thing has yet to play out like Dana or Fox wanted fightwise. The last thing they want at this point is to have the main eventer win or lose test positive right on the heels of Diaz/Condit.
bemsqua, to me that's no reason not to do the fight. Keep in mind that Sonnen failed a test after his big title fight with Silva and he still was booked in a fight for the last Fox card. Nate Diaz has never really had any issues like this so I don't think we should worry.
Whatever happens it will be a big deal for a while and people will eventually forget about it or move on.
Just like with this instance with Diaz. The fight still happened, UFC made their money. NSAC is already punishing Diaz and UFC will comply with it. They will bring Nick Diaz back if he is still willing to fight and put him in a big fight.
However, Nick Diaz will learn unlike in Strikeforce there will be consequences to his actions. Constantly in Strikeforce, Diaz was insubordinate and unprofessional without reprimand.

I wasn't implying they should not have the fight. I think it will be an amazing fight....by far the best Fox has put on. I just wondered about Nate. Everyone has always talked about Nick and smoking weed. I've never really heard anything about Nate in that area. I could care less what he does. I just hope he learned the lesson from Nick.....for his sake and the UFC's.
