Is Rousey in the UFC because of Invicta?

Dana didn't seem too warm on women in the UFC but after Rousey got so much publicity last year I think most of us assumed he's changed his mind simply because of her star power.

But I wonder if the (relative) success of Invicta played a role in this? Considering SF is closing shop, if the UFC didn't want WMMA in the UFC Rousey would've had to go to Invicta (where else?).

In other words, are women in the UFC primarily because Dana & co. really believe it's going to sell tickets or because they wanted to keep Rousey away from a rival?
