Is Shogun a natural middleweight?

He looks soft at 205. Is there any reason he can't/doesn't fight at middleweight?

Each of his legs are natural bantamweights.

Proper diet, he would have no problem at all making 185 Phone Post

This.

Everyone on this forum is a fucking professional dietician and trainer. Shogun keeps a bird chest because his legs weigh so damn much. I am certain that if it was really an issue, his actual team wouldve considered/addressed it.

Like he's never thought of it before. There's obviously a reason he does what he does..... despite the UG's expertise. Crazy, I know.

Maybe you misread my post asking what the reason was?

Jesus sorry you guys it too serious. People noticed he was soft in his upper torso and asked a simple question there was no hate towards the fighter so just chill. <img src="/images/phone/apple.png" alt="Phone Post" border="0" style="vertical-align:middle;"/>

I'M SO PISSED YOU ASKED THIS QUESTION!!!!!

No really, I didn't take it serious. I just can't help but think that there has to be some thought behind it by him, his team, and management.

And more than that, it's not like he's lost 3 in a row and needs to reconsider his career.... he was the champ two fights ago, he just fought the gutsiest fight EVAH, and he can be a serious contender for the 205 belt in the near future. All that to say, the dude is top 5 in weight and was #1 for a bit. He loses to a legend and people start asking about him moving down.

If I jumped on your simple question too hard, I apologize. I just hate that the dude has to defend himself after such an epic fight.

I'm sure as hell not knocking him for the hendo fight -- or any of his fights. He's -very- skilled, and -very- entertaining. But it also seems to me that he's fighting well above his natural weight, and I wondered if he's ever been asked or given an indication as to why.

I'm not buying that 'big legs' are the entirety of the extra weight he's carrying.

he's not a natural middleweight. He's a full-framed guy and not short.

205 is his proper weight class. He's bigger than Anderson Silva (total body mass wise) for sure.
