But religion in general is the reason that 99% of the hate towards gays is out there. Not just Christians though, Muslims, Jews and 3/4's of the religions out there have a beef with gay people.

1. To be honest I don't really believe you. I'm weirded out by gay sex, same way I'm weirded out by obese people sex. NEVER ever heard of an athiest having any issue with gay sex because of evolution. Maybe you two just have really REALLY stupid friends.
2. Do I really have to explain how generalizations work? If I say something that is true of 99% of something, you're a jack ass if you point out the 1% that it doesn't. Everyone knows, that the MAIN reason people have a problem with homosexuality is because their religion says it's bad.
3. I live in US, and I'm on a US site. Sorry (not sarcasm) that I focus on US problems more than others.
