No (as far as I know) I do not need my old lady to get one. But i was reading through some thread about planned parenthood and I got to thinking if they were shut down, where would one go to terminate a pregnancy? DO hospitals do it? Regular obgyn's? Can you go to mexico and get it done?

I do believe that you are correct that any doctor who has the correct training and equipment can provide the service. Trouble is that many healthcare providers (read, hospital groups) do not allow their doctors to perform or prescribe certain procedures or medicines regardless of the doctors individual belief.
I have had multiple orthopedic knee surgeries and after years on narcotic pain meds I switched to medical pot. When I asked my surgeon to sign off on my 215 he was in support of me switching off of narcotics and inquired to his higher ups at Mercy Healthcare (a Catholic hospital system). He told me at a follow up that the board or whatever you would call it shut him down and he would be terminated for signing off on the 215. So I went to a shady ass hole in the wall with an old retired doc who could barley hold a pen anymore to sign the 215...
Also keep in mind that many states do everything they can to defund and make abortion services difficult to obtain and Planned Parenthood is the only place people can go to seek these services. Abortions are generally not done at your local Planned Parenthood where many go for health screenings, education, birth control, and condoms.
