I also don't understand those that say 'he was fine in the first round, its obviously bullshit!'
Without going to the 'keyboard warrior' comment you guys train right ?
Haven't you ever been injured, gone to training anyway and felt good for the first 5, 10 (20) whatever minutes and then have it catch up to you ?
(and then often regret the decision to train...)
I love how so many poepole on here are now back to bashing Tito because of pulling out of this fight. The guy is fucking INJURED, sometimes people actually use their heads and don't try to be "tough" for a bunch of internet junkies. Everyone knows, including Ken himself, that Tito would make hamburger out of Shamrock's face again, that is if he let it last that long.
Let's get it straight. Tito is injuired. But Tito doesn't want this fight, unless HE FEELS like he is compensated! Let's not lose focus here. When Tito heals, he will want MORE money to fight Ken. The first fight was the largest of it's kind when it happened. Tito wants some it. Injuiry or no injuiry, he wasn't going to fight.
This time, I hope Zuffa voids the contract and sends Tito packing. I wouldn't run my business like that. Tito needs to grow up fulfill his obligations.
There are very few confirmed facts on Tito and the UFC right now. I haven't seen any details on his injuries. I haven't seen anything indicating that he's bailing on the UFC and not just rehabbing his injuries (whatever they are). I haven't seen anything confirmed facts that will affect my opinion of him one way or another.
"He might have an injury, and I am part mexican. I don't just have black friends, I am part mexican and the mother of my child is part mexican."
SO that somehow gives you the right to make racist statements and have them not be racist?
"It might be racist to YOU, because you've never been there."
It is racist PERIOD, judging someone's character based on RACE is RACISM, that's not debatable, it has nothing to do with where I've been... which you don't know shit about anyway.
"Hypersensitivity is a silver spoon for the posh."
I'm not hypersensitive, I just thought it was funny that you would make an obviously racist statement, and say it wasn't meant to be racist... of course it was racist. If you're a racist that's your right in a free country. Just have the balls to own up to it! You must live pretty posh, because you sure are hypersensitive when a simple truth is pointed out.
"This whole thread is about someone deciding that Tito has severed ties because he isn't fighting Ken on the set date.
Dana White hasn't said Tito is gone."
White questioned Tito's reasoning on the radio ... so I am assuming that he pulled out of the fight without a verified injury ... meaning, he didn't give Dana any hard evidence that he was hurt as badly as he was letting on after the Griffin fight.
And yeah, White pretty much let it be known that he was pissed at Tito again .. and that "he was back to the same old shit", or something to that effect.
I would realy like to get into a lengthy arguement with you about me not being a Tito nuthugger and how he already signed to fight Ken again because they hate each other and yes even Tito is fueled by more than money.
However, I don't feeling like wasting all that effort so I'm gonna stick with something a liitle more immature. I DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING INSULTING YOU CUMGUZZLER, AND YOU WANNA START TALKIN SHIT? FUCK OFF!!!!!
"You only have his word for this, don't be surprised if he's off filming an action role in a DTV movie in a couple of weeks"
Well he was obviously limping and favoring the knee early in the fight. His cardio was also very suspect which is NOT like Tito at all.
Now I was surprised at how quickly Eilers came back from his "blown ACL" after his fight with AA. They sprinkled some miracle grow on his knee because he was back like one or two UFC's later.
It's not what we've been told, we were told Ken's ACl was completely torn and Tito's is partially torn. This means that Tito could completely tear his ACL in another fight, but Ken did not have this risk as his was already Completely torn (if the conjecture going around is true).
Even if it is true just because Ken was willing to jeopardize his career does not mean Tito needs to. Tito is a much younger guy with a lot more ahead of him, permanently screwing up his knee is not a good idea.
This can't be a fight Tito wants to back out of. It's an easy payday, in a fight he has little risk of losing, and likely wins in dominating fashion. He makes $200k plus a % of the PPV when he fights, plus the chance to further expose himself and the products/ brand he has created. Backing out of the fight probably costs Tito 500k in direct and indirect $$$ if not more.
Backing out of this fight is really bad for Tito's career, he is if nothing else financially motivated, and this sets his finances back substantially.

waS THE INJURY VERIFIRED? Just watch the fight with FORREST, that verifies it. Come on, GRIFFING is a good fighter, but a healthy TITO would have no probelm taking him down based on all his past fights.
This is another example of the UFC treating their fighters like shit. This guy comes in, does a great job on their tv show. Then he fights a very game Forrest Griffin with a bum knee and a bulging disc in his back and the UFC now decides to shit all over the guy for pulling out of his next fight due to these injuries. What the fuck is wrong with them? This whole do you wanna be a fighter mentality of Dana's is fucking whacked if you ask me. He'd probably shit on Fedor for having a broken hand if he was in UFC.
