UFC president Dana White cryptically hinted at a potential new star on the coming season of the UFC's long-running reality show, telling outlets like ESPN that this man sent four men to the hospital when he fought them.
Swedish fighter Tor "The Hammer" Troeng has spent much of his fighting career in Europe, and prior to trying out for TUF, has never competed on American soil.
According to a recent interview with Swedish website Kimura.se, Troeng is indeed a competitor on the show.
Swedish website MMAnytt has also confirmed that Troeng appears in the latest trailer for the show.
Is "The Hammer" the one who held his TUF 17 cast members in an iron grip of fear?
•Troeng is definitely a competitor on the show.
•Troeng is a solid fighter and currently boasts a gaudy 11-1-1 stretch dating back over the last four years.
•Troeng is an extremely violent fighter.
A fighter like that seems to fit the bill of someone who would instill fear in his competitors.
Maybe European sledgehammer Tor Troeng really is this mystery fighter—but even if he isn't, just who the hell is the guy that eventually beat him?
hope not...doesnt seem all that blue chip to me...
For someone whos not american, what does that mean? "blue chip" ?
thanks
blue chip means a young prospect that has the potential to become the best of the best...usually, it means someone with a lot of athleticism that is still in the process of learning the sport but shows a lot of potential...like jon jones or gsp when they first entered the ufc...

Cheers man.. Yeah got to agree that HL doesnt really give him the killer look does it.
But he is a smart and humble guy, a bit like J-Lau, so i will be rooting for our swedish boy :)
zebers3 - Not gonna lie, when Dana first mentioned this dude on TUF wrecking people I automatically assumed he was black and didn't realize until right now.
Haha I can't lie either... I imagined the same thing... Shit... Im racist?
I didn't see anything in that hl vid that suggests he's an "extremely violent" fighter. He's good and seems well rounded, but when DFW mentioned this beast who's lighting everyone up I imagined something very different. This guy doesn't seem like some terrifying finishing machine
Doesn't have to be in the final. Could have been a replacement. I'd be surprised Dana would say something that would ruin the outcome because after a few episodes it will be obv who it is
