Is UFN 37 only available on Fight Pass?

I'm a bit behind on this whole Fight Pass ordeal. But is it right that UFN will only be aired on Fight Pass? Is there no other way for those without Fight Pass to watch?

Again, I apologize, I'm sure for a lot of you this whole Fight Pass thing has probably been discussed at length, in detail, but I'm still fuzzy on the whole thing.

In America it is Fight Pass only. Elsewhere in the world it is also on TV. Phone Post 3.0

Unfortunatly yes

Damn... I'm really disappointed. Phone Post 3.0

im spazzed

Yeah, me too, on several levels.

The Fight Pass is frustrating because in this case, you're dealing with content that was once free, or available on cable TV anyway, which we're now expected to pay for. You could also say this is true of the upcoming TUF Brazil, as the first seasons were on the UFC site.

It's also disappointing to see Gustafsson shuffled away like this, to a low-profile bout, when he just took the light heavyweight champion to the limit in his last appearance. They had a great fight and I'm guessing most of us had expected a rematch.

Instead...

In HD on TV for Canadians, fuck fight pass. Phone Post 3.0

The UFC just posted on Facebook to watch with the free trial... I thought the free trial was over? Phone Post 3.0

I don't like this, taking away what they were going to show us and help it be mainstream. You can't make it mainstream when you put extra price tags on it. I will not buy fight pass, nor will I buy another ppv. I will watch what is free or watch at a bar, but I wont pay outta pocket anymore because the fights are lackluster and I haven't enjoyed spending 55 bucks on the last 2.

The Gustafsson issue is a legitimate one but he is a European fighter so it does make sense for him to headline a European card.
As to the issue that it was once free, FS1 didn't want to air it. If FOX decides against airing a card, it cannot be shown on TV. So this fight was never going to be aired on TV. It has to do with the time zones and the extreme delay for the fight. They have done this in the past and the ratings just want good enough because most fans either catches a stream or downloads an HD copy within an hour or two of the fighting being finished.
That being said to find library is pretty cool but for me the $10 a month is negligible since all I have to do is not order 2 of the borderline PPV's I normally would have and it ends up relatively even. Phone Post 3.0

Jesus there's a lot of broken English in that post Phone Post 3.0

Yes, but I think I understood anyway.

Still, I disagree. Maybe you weren't, but most of us were already skipping PPV's before -- and now they're spreading their talent even thinner? It's better to continue sending the message that not every show is worth the cash that UFC seems to expect.

LOL at all the comments about Fight Pass on UFC's Facebook. Everyone hates it.

That is a valid viewpoint for sure but the way I look at it is these weren't fights that were going to be shown so the question for me is are they worth $10 to watch. Here are the top 3 fights from the next 2 Fight Pass cards

Fight Night 37
Gus v Manuwa
Johnson v Guillard
Pickett v Seery

Fight Night 39
Nelson v Nog
Guida v Kawajiri
Rosholt v The Alphabet

For me, is it worth the price of a movie (a couple of hours of entertainment)? I say yes others say no. Phone Post 3.0

Yeah but I'm not sure if they hate the actual product which works great for me (I watch on Android & a computer which is hooked up to my TV) or they hate the idea of the product. Phone Post 3.0

It is so stupid to keep hearing how this used to be free. This card would never be aired in the US if it weren't for fight pass. You guys bitch that now you have to pay for what once was free but it isn't like they moved this card from FS1 last minute to make you pay. Just like the rest of the world, you guys have to pay for a non "ppv" card. Get over it. It was never going to be on FS1 or Fox. Wasn't going to be on FB. Never.

I know you guys are spoiled and are used to getting UK cards free but not this one and not future non US cards. Fox won't pay for worse ratings than they get on prime time. How many viewers did Machidas last fight get (that many of you laughed about)? Think they are going to do that again and again? Come on people, use your brains! Phone Post 3.0

I didn't laugh about it, I enjoyed Machida's last fight. That show was pretty good on paper, but turned out so-so. Ratings down? Well, UFC has itself to blame for oversaturating the market.

The rest of the world seems to pay for UFC fights fewer times than US viewers do, by the way.

Your post sounds like the triumph of low expectations and I think we should expect a little more from ZUFFA.

There are 2 schools of thought.
1. More fighters being signed which means more events = more guys making money, which is a good thing.
2. Too many fighters, too many cards = watered down product.

I'm somewhere in between. I think the roster could be cut in half and the brand would be better for it or maybe something crazy like
UFC- Ultimate Fighting Champions Stacked PPV's and FOX cards with a couple of FS1 events

UFc - Ultimate Fighting challengers
Guys coming off their 2nd loss and up and comers. They will be the ones that headline the majority of the FS1 cards and fight pass. Phone Post 3.0
