Is Zuffa doing Bones a disservice?

By not scheduling SIlva before we all start to feel he's declined?

If you feel you know the answer why did you pose an open-ended question?

Silva doesn't want the fight, you can't force him to move up and Jones isn't gonna make MW.

Its an open ended platform. Therefor, i was obviously seeking debate.

I'm sorry the concept of a "message board" eludes you..

You were seeking a debate by retorting 'Yes-you are wrong' to someone who said 'no'???
You are quite the orator alright

Jones would only get a one punch kill shot on the chin for his troubles. How many times has Jones defended his title? Maybe he should actually beat a few more people in his division before he starts jumping around and fighting guys in other weight classes. Also, the Silva hate on here is quite crazy. Why doesn't anybody wonder about Jon Jones moving up to HW. If he is as unbeatable as people think, then that would be the natural progression, imo.

Jones taking some HW fights after he beats Rashad and hendo would be awesome

Bones has to get past Rashad first

EpicConfessions - What is wrong with fighters dominating their own weight class for years?
If he can dominate at HW I might be a fan.

Of course, if he can make LHW he has every right to fight there, but its hard to be super impressed with his skills when he also has such a size advantage.

Isn't he like 218 in the cage? He has a freakish reach, but at 6'4" and under 220, he's hardly huge for LHW. Phone Post

Catch weight...

For the right price this is doable..

Snap! Someone got owned! Plus, the way most people operate on this board is to state their opinion in the original post, not to pose some open ended question. Since, you know, message boards are for people to give their opinion on things... Phone Post

Yeah, I believe his in-ring weight is in that general range from 216-220. People are always going to complain about his "size" and reach though, you just have to kind of look past it because people are always going to find stuff to bitch about especially if they don't like that person...

...

Declined?!

When did you mother fuckers become experts on when exactly the human body begins a physiological decline?

I thought he walked around at around 245-250, cage weight isn't that fair a comparison, plus he said he was willing to take HW fights Phone Post

216 is the cage weight of some MWs. Jones is easily on the 220-225 range.

TUFaintEnuff - 216 is the cage weight of some MWs. Jones is easily on the 220-225 range.

He was 216 2 weeks out from the Shogun fight. He was asked at the Atlanta press conference what would be his weight for the Evans fight and he said 216. Evans also said at the same press conference that he likes to be about 215 fight night...

This - MMA fans are painfully impatient, the moment somebody wins 2 fights in a row in their division they should STEP UP LIKE A MAN and go fight heavier guys.

Does nobody enjoy sustained dominance? I love watching what guys like GSP and Anderson have been able to do in their respective weight classes - it puts the abilities of the division as a whole into perspective and provides for much more specific historical clarity.

I dunno, I'm also big on the historical relevance side of this though. I like the idea of being able to tell my kids I watched a guy like Anderson make like 10,11,12, however many title defenses he's made. That's cool shit to me.
