Does anyone know much about Issa Cissoko who fought Bill Duff on Human Weapon? Stats or a fight record?
I know he was being really, really nice to Bill... :)
twinkletoes,
Was he really being nice? He doesn't look that skilled at all. I think other Savateurs would've represented the art better than Issa.
Toby:
SERIOUSLY, he was being very nice. I've sparred a couple of champions, and they all sparred that way when they were being "nice."
Everything was a blur when they weren't.
How come Bill was able to hit him with a solid shot and he almost got knocked down? He also seemed pretty pissed. Also, his hands didn't look to sharp when he was hitting the bags.
All the other Savateurs in that episode were awesome though.
Are you guys sure he was just being really nice to Bill? Honestly, it didn't seem like it. Issa even seemed pissed off after they shook hands.
Also, was that a chasse bas or a CDPB that was demonstrated? Rolando, you showed me the Jab-Fouette-Cross (Coup de grace) combination right?
The training aboard the ship part was very interesting and definitely HARDCORE. Wow!
Shows that the French are not only sophisticated WITH regards to fashion, food, wine and culture, but when need to, can turn to deadly savages when they have to fight.
** must save money to move to France **
Toby:
That was the commentating. Bill didn't hit him hard lol!! Watch it again without the sound and commentating. ;)
Issa was pissed (IMHO) because he was probably told to go easy on the host, then the host hits between breaks, hits hard, etc.
"Also, was that a chasse bas or a CDPB that was demonstrated?"
The correct term is chasse etalion. I don't know how they got the terminology wrong. Then again they were pronouncing "fouette" wrong the whole night.
Yeah, I showed you that combo at some point. It's a pretty common combination.
The guys at INSEP (where Jason got hurt) were the REAL DEAL. They were hitting both hosts at will, albeit lightly.
Come to class Toby!
rolando,
You know I'd come to class if you taught one in the morning. Problem is, I'm always booked weeknights my friend. The last time we trained, it only happened by chance that I was given that Tuesday night off. =(
