I heard someone I know yell this in protest. Are people fucking serious with this shit?
Basically, it's akin to saying "I think that two judges should've scored it for the guy I think won while the third judge scored it for the other guy". I'm sorry, but if you think a guy won, then you should think that it ought to be a unanimous. If it's a close fight and you anticipate a split decision, that's quite different. Who in their right mind wants a split decision?
I've heard that said before, and your post is the perfect response.
Very intelligent and good answer TS.
Fitch was quoted as saying it after the Penn fight.
I remember thinking: Nice John. In trying to make a case for yourself on why you won, you just said "I can see where someone would have given that to the other guy".
When someone says that they are indirectly admitting they wanted 1 judge to get it wrong no matter which way it went lol. It is a good way to point out the idiots that follow the sport. The sad part is that even some fighters have said this before.
Wtf. Why dig this thread up?
I sometimes like SDs, in a fight where both guys fought their heart out, and the guy I think won got the win. Then the other guy gets a degree of vindication.
