Tonights fights were great, Tyson, Forrest and Jardine fights were
amazing. It occured to me as the Jardine decision was being read that
Randy Couture has further chisled his name into the corner stone of
MMA. He just enginiered 2 incredible upsets in a single evening. From
the moment they stepped into the cage all 3 knew how to win their
fight. For the 15 minutes following each stirctly followed their
respective game plans to the letter. I can't help but to credit the team/
coaches/Randy himself taking nothing from the fighters that fought
them. I am new to the MMA world (like many) and I was shocked and
amazed when he took the belt from Sylva (my first UFC ever was Lidell
vs. Couture 2) He has cleared his place among fighters over the years.
Tonight he became perhaps the greatest force in MMA today. Dana
may run the company but Randy owns MMA
BT great 2nd post. For real!Well thought out and way not to be a newb know it all.Even if Jardine is not included Randy being a cornerstone of MMA is dead on.
I just saw the Extreme Couture shirt and banner and I knew Jardine left
Jackson's camp after the Alexander fight. Jardine fought a completly
different fight from I have seen him fight recently so I could only come to
the conclusion that it was through the Couture influince.
Greg Jackson was in Jardine's corner. Extreme Couture is also Randy's clothing line by Affliction. Jardine, I assume is sponsored by the Couture clothing line.
