He called out Shavkat last night. The UFC will probably have him fight somebody like Neil Magny, Perreria or winner of Chiesa/Leech next.

Shavkat is (re)booked for March 4 vs. Geoff Neal. JDM must be assuming Shavkat wins that fight, and he probably will.
Neal is ranked #7, so you’d think the UFC and Rakhmonov would want to maintain the momentum and upward trajectory after that match-up. Maybe Belal next for Shavkat?
JDM, on the other hand, may crack the top 15 after his win last night. Either way, it’s definitely a ballsy callout. You might see JDM versus Michel Pereira next.
Newly ranked fighters shouldnt fight each other, they should fight guys who have been ranked a while and have shown they arent quite good enough to contend. I could see him getting Magny or Chiesa.
