thats a smart man there ! once ur locked in to the big time .... its hard to build the skillset needed to win the belt . youve got a full on mma contract , with the ufc . are u gonna do some amateur / professional boxing / kickboxing to better ur skillset ?. how bout compete at the mundials / pan ams / naga / grapplers quest to better those much needed sub skills vs the best in the world ? not saying that s what hes gonna do . >>> thats what he SHOULD DO ! once hes locked in , itll be hard to go in reverse for skills needed ie ..... diego sanchez and many others who really did not have the needed skillset once the light suddenly shown on them .

crack ? never tried it . north from here .... sooo ur saying that when diego won the tuf show , his standup was at the level for the ufc ? is that what im hearing ?

my point is that once these guys get locked in >>they sink or swim with most of what they enter that show with .... other than polishing and or upgrading theyre mma integration skills .

i see most fighting in the ufc for a few fights ( hopefully getting the matchups they need , to keep winning ) .... then fading away because of lack of wrestling , standup etc.
in sanchez's case , he was given a bunch of guys he could easily takedown >>> florian , gassoway , diaz to ply his g& p . when he started facing guys with better wrestling and better standup he started losing . his lack of standup and his not wanting to be hit has always been his weakness >>> thats strange , because he has a good chin + he can punch hard . if he had shored that weakness up BEFORE HE HAD THE SPOTLIGHT SHOWN ON HIM >>> HE WOULDNT HAD TO TAKE 2 STEPS BACKWARDS ..... if this is what jake is doing kudos to him . i wish others would do this . on the other hand u could argue about his success that he and others have had .
