just got back from a james randi lecture in Dublin, although i have a lot of his books/dvds already it was great to see the man himself in action
'critical thinking' should be a compulsary subject in schools, essential life skill

I am jealous, he is an awesome speaker and writer. His book on Uri Geller was hilarious, and eye opening.
It looks like he has one more on his scheduled for this year.

I would love to catch one of these.
ttt for the Amazing Randi!
IMO,a Scientific-Materialist-Fundamentalist blow-hard.Skeptical to a fault.
Matt,I find it odd that you would enjoy the work of both Randi AND Tim Leary,as they were very different people, almost total opposites.Check out this site from the man who Leary considered to be the wisest person on the planet.
RAW's Schrodinger's Cat and The Illuminatus Trilogy were great reads.

Yes.
That's okay.
The beautiful part is when you realize they both point to the same. . . . . . . .
Aaron,
What do RAW and this Randi guy have to do with each other?
I imagine if you are a RAW fan then you are a Philip K. Dick fan? Si o no?
i've just gone cross eyed
Majic Sam posted the link to the RAW web site....Hence the comment on his books.

Divergent thinking can yield unexpected results. Personally, I like to read things that challenge me, make me want to throw the book across the room and cause me to examine my premises, to borrow from Ayn Rand. Otherwise I find myself becoming narrow and judgmental.
But thats just me, not that theres anything wrong with that. =)

Excellent!
