Here’s a very interesting article about the Japanese probe launched in 2014. It was able to land on an asteroid, collect and safely return the samples back to earth.

Of course I still have the question as to how amino acids can survive the heat and impact even if the asteroid is large enough to not completely burn up in the atmosphere.
