I think for Jardine to grow beyond where he's at he needs to become a little more technical on his feet and a little less instinctive. His awkward stance works to an extent but also leaves him exposed to being knocked out. If his chin was better it wouldn't be as much of an issue.

I know they say that there are no more easy fights in the UFC, but maybe we can see Jardine face more of a wrestler-type next, one that will constantly pursue the takedown. He’s facing guys that love to stand: T. Silva, Rampage, Wanderlei, Vera, Chuck, et al. The loser of Tito vs. Coleman would be an interesting opponent.
