I think when Werdum beat Cain Javier forgot to form the head. Cain was an empty shell and without the ability to think, he was a mindless zombie that Werdum beat eventually.
Next time, I think Javier means Cain will be able to think and he'll have a gameplan.
Since Cain is an empty vessel and Javier is the puppet master and master mind, Cain cannot win on his own.

I remember seeing the Embedded before the fight and hearing Javier say that about Cain only agreeing to two weeks, and I felt he was already aware of how Cain's cardio wasn't right. Those Embedded's are filmed fight week so Javier and Cain would've already realized by the time the Enbedded were filmed. Didn't he say the same on MMA Hour...
I also remembering Cain's corner including DC looking solemn as Buffer was getting it started while Rafael and Werdum were all smiles.
It's like Cordeiro and team recognized what Cain was going through...having possibly went through it themselves when they acclimated for their first planned encounter.
Also makes me think different of Werdum's slow, no wasted movement game-plan with Hunt in Mexico.
FTP - As a huge fan of Cains, Mendez is really pissing me off. He keeps saying "but it was all just the cardio, we are going to do everything the same"
With that kind of response im worried Mendez is going to lead Cain to failure again. Take responsibility for the gameplan. Fuck the cardio. PREPARE FOR WERDUM'S Thai clinch and knees. Thats where Werdum won. Either pepare to take away Werdum's dangerous right straight leads or counter them. Work with Cain on closing distance with defensive responsibility or at least using jabs and fients to disrupt Werdum's ability to time Cain coming in. Come up with an actual gameplan. Cain's kicks worked good. Look into that. Why not try some ground and pound to tire Werdum out too? Hunt was fine in Werdum's guard. It wasnt cardio, IT WAS BAD advice/coaching/gameplan.
If you want to do your job Mendez THEN look at Werdum and prepare Cain FOR WERDUM. If anyone from AKA is reading this, PLEASE for the sake of Cain's future and well being, try to talk some sense into Mendez. I really feel Mendez is holding back some of these guys. One thing is for sure, Mendez is NOT Firas Zahabi, and thats what Cain needs right now to beat Werdum. Cain needs to out smart/out skill Werdum. No one is going to go in there and simply overwhelm Werdum. Mendez is an idiot who will cause Cain to lose again. This saddens me deeply as as a Cain fan

I'm wondering though if Cain will try to GNP Werdum this time. That's his biggest and best weapon. Just watch that first Velasquez Silva fight you know... But Werdum is just a completely different beast off his back so idk it's interesting though
