Jaw knocked off alignment?

So I was rolling and caught a nasty elbow to my jaw right near where it connects to my skull. Like upper cheek area. I'd caught a few before that to the lower part of the same side. But the last one was a nice shot that had me seeing stars and such. Well, since then I've had people tell me I've been talking out of the corner of my mouth. Which is weird. So I grabbed my mouthguard and put it in and its like my jaw has been knocked off alignment. I had to move my jaw into proper position to fit into my teeth marks in the mouthguard. Its not painful, but its worrying. Is it possible that I knocked my jaw out of sync/whack?

Yes, you jaw and bones of the skull can and most likely are misaligned.

Would I go to a dentist about this? It hadn't caused me any pain until tonight, now its kind of achey.

No, dentists do not know how to re-align the bones of the skull and jaw.

Rather than a dentist, an orthodontist or medical doc who does jaw injuries and show him your mouthpiece misalignment, etc. That's their main business, fixing misalignments of the jaw

Good luck.

My chiropractor fixed this exact same problem for me after a fight, it didn't feel very good but he fixed it.

My chiro fixed mine too. Sucked though...
