Dos Santos – who had never met his opposing coach in person prior to the start of filming earlier this week – admits he was a bit shocked at just how massive Lesnar really is. However, he's far from intimidated by his giant foe.
"I'm very excited to fight with him," Dos Santos said. "He's a pretty big fighter, and I think he is very dangerous. But I think the fight against him will be very good for me because I think I am faster than him, and I'm going to use my boxing, for sure. I always use my boxing to win fights. That's going to happen again.
"I think he doesn't accept punches very well. I don't know why. I guess because he's from wrestling. I am from boxing. I have no problem with punches. The guys can punch me, and I feel nothing. I just keep going. That doesn't happen with him. He's got a weak chin."
It's about as close as you'll ever get to trash talk from the always affable Dos Santos. But he doesn't mean the words as anything other than what he considers simple fact after watching Lesnar's recent fights with Velasquez and Shane Carwin.
"Brock reacts poorly when hit but can JDS stuff Brock's takedowns? JDS isn't going to one hit quit Lesnar. He'll probably tag him and Brock will shoot. Can JDS keep the fight standing? I doubt it"
That is the problem for Brock. He seems to lose all composure. His shots on Cain during the onslaught were sloppy and one doesnt need to be an All-American to avoid them.
weak chin? neither carwin or velasquez knocked him out. btw dos santos, the bad thing about people like you is you always think it is impressive to take a punch. oh it doesn't hurt. well it isn't smart either to take them just cause they don't hurt. you think it is impressive now but in five years YOUR chin will be gone.
DamnSevern - it's not a weak chin, it's his reaction to getting hit that's the problem.
agree, he survived a sledge hammer beating from carwin, he really needs to spar with some good boxers that wont take it easy on him, or just tie his arms and legs to a wall and let both the klitchkos take turns hitting him as hard as they can in his face
yhknq - people love to cut people down when they lose claiming he was never a legit heavyweight so on and so on imo brock wins this fight via gnp stoppage then all the douche bags will trash on junior claiming he was over rated just an endless cycle of douche bag haters all around

The UFC, and Lesnar himself, enjoyed the spoils of being one of the most overhyped fighters in the short history of professional mma. Brocktober? Now Lesnar's experiencing the flip side of that equation, and if people want to question his chin, and maybe even the legitimacy of his ranking as a heavyweight, I say it's par for the course.
I also agree that he's absorbed a lot of punishment without the lights ever going completely out, but his equilibrium did seem to be affected.
Like has been said though, Brock's chin isn't weak. He took bombs from Carwin and Cain and was still conscious. He just loses all composure when someone hits him and immediately goes for a sloppy takedown.
I dont know if Brock's chin is good or bad, you know why? I have not seen him hit flush on the chin yet. Carwin knocked him across the cage with a grazing uppercut from his weak hand, and Brocks legs were rubber. Carwin never landed on the chin/jaw after that one, taking punches on the arms doesnt mean he had a good chin.
The shot that Cain rocked him with was also not on the chin, but was a nice short punch at the jaw, but not really a crushing blow. He was on rubber legs breakdancing away from the action, and your legs dont go rubber because you lost composure, they go rubber because you got half KO'd.
Most of the time, when someone freaks out from punch pressure its because they know something the folks watching dont know, that one clean on the chin, and they are out.
I think Brock has a very definite style match advantage in this fight. I also think Brock's chin is average at best for a HW combined with a total freakout psyche at this point. I cant say JDS is wrong to question Brock's chin, since he went down from less than thunderous shots (cain hit him a good bit cleaner for certain, but cain really doesnt KO many people, does he?) and really freaks out from pressure.
