Jean Jacques X Leo Viera (awesome battle)

awesome

I never get tired of this match. To handle Leo like is impressive.

ttt

 that was pretty cool

 sweet

The sweep at 8:45 is just a work of art by JJ.

 was this from ADCC 2000??

Wow JJM looked impressive as hell in that fight!

MY GOD THIS JJM!!

ttt 4 later

JJM amazes me. I never new that he had a screwed up hand until I saw clips of his documentary. I like the clips of him rolling with Dan Inosanto. Dan's like 70 years old or something in that vid and he lookis incredible for his age. Both are inspiring!

unlike Boxing or MMA, Bjj is not a spectator sport, but it ever was JJM is the only consistent Bjj guy that impresses nearly 95% of the time, its so fun to watch him roll.

has JJM ever been schooled? I mean I was disappointed when he grappled Arona, Arona was a complete blanket, I thought he would be more open since they did not allow punches.

"has JJM ever been schooled? I mean I was disappointed when he grappled Arona, Arona was a complete blanket, I thought he would be more open since they did not allow punches. "

^he was constantly working during the Arona match and was always attacking with sweeps and sub attempts.  He got a tight omplata on Arona and it took all of Arona's strenghth and movement to get out.  (the next day Arona's arm was in a sling)    If anything Arona fought to survive that match and held on to his points.

JJM is well into his 40's now, his last 2 matches didn't go well for him.  He was a last minute replacement against Dean Lister who racked up a good amount of points on him and didn't fare well against the younger Hironoka who is incredibly talented in his own right.

Still JJM is a Master with one of the most unique and exciting games I've ever seen.

^^^Exciting for world level Bjj player means a lot, thanks for the info.

More than JJM's skill, I admire his attitude. No points or stalling BS, just trying to tap the other guy out as quickly as possible.
Totally inspires me when I compete. All that's going through my head is, "I want to be the most exciting match here."
