Jeff Glover is really that good?

Jeff Glover at the young tender age of 20 years old has won the Pan-Am 2005 Brown Belt Gold all by submission except for 1 match. (Only been a brownbelt for less then 2 months). He also went on after losing to Javier Vasquez in the ADCC trails to compete in the Absoulute Division won the whole dam thing. Should this kid get the invite to give ADCC 2005 some extra spice in LONG BEACH? What do you think?

he is a phenom and gets incredibly better every time i see him compete. On that note, if you had to compete in a qualifier and you did not win I don't see how you should get an invite. There are quite a few qualifiers around the world and if the north american's get second place in than so should all the rest of the world.

btw congrats to jeff for pan-am gold!

Charles I understand what you are saying but hows about him winning the Absolute Division in the ADCC trails all by submission? I think that is worthy of maybe an invite or alternate for ADCC don't you think? props to glover!!!!

ttt

who joined the absolute division? Any of the winners of the divisions?

I think he is as slick as they come these days. He's the real deal in my book.

El Guapo I felt the same way but I have been watching this kid for the last 4-5 years and He is the real deal.

I am always impressed with Him, at one tourney(Grapplers) he was going back and forth from division to division without resting and going all day long, it is amazing. He is great to watch with alot of slick moves, anytime you get the opportunity to watch him, it is worth the effort.

amazing competitor, saw him fight at both IGJJF events. I actually think he does BETTER against bigger guys which might explain him winning the absolute but not his division in the ADCC.

There was no absolute division at the North American Abu Dhabi trials. Glover won the absolute division of the Evolution Grappling tournament which was the next day.

He beat a few local guys by flying triangle, he beat Nick Ring by DQ (Ring KO'd him with an illegal slam) and beat Justin Garcia in the finals in a match that looked like two friends goofing around.

That being said, Glover is VERY good and certainly should be invited to ADCC.

The guy is awesome...and super cool too. Very humble.

wombat..
thank you... jeff is sick as they come!!

what weight is he?

who is his instructor?

Jeff turns 22 in a couple of days. Hes a brown belt under Franjiah(sp) and trains at Paragon in Santa Barbara. He walks around at 140ish.

Jeff is NASTY. I think he is one of the best active competitors today. Thanks for the inspiration Glover.Congrats on the Pan ams victory.
