Jim Miller to Melvin Guillard: Bring it On!

Got to put Sean Sherk in that mix too. He is coming back this fall.

NorthFromHere - I'm still not sold on the new Melvin. He was a bit reluctant to really fight with Jeremy Stephens just a while ago. Miller push the pace non stop.

Me either, He looks good beating guys down for sure, but I dont know how his whiskers hold up and he does tend to break in back and forth fights. He has shown himself to be a major front runner, but who knows.

Guillard wins for sure. I like miller but he can't handle the athleticism of guillard Phone Post

You mean the run and point fight style he pulls out when he gets pushed? Or do you mean the chin that allows a jab to drop him? Again alot of folks are way high on Melvin when he has certainly looked good in style favored matches, the guy folks like a wet paper towel under pressure in the past. This may be gone, but we need to see him under pressure to know, right?

Miller way more disiplined than melvin.. Melvins his own wore enemy Phone Post

free win for Miller if they fight.

I will say that the Stephens/Guillard fight was weak, but they both played the fight wayyyyyy too carefully.

Both scared of each other's power. Stephens isn't a joke. He just needs to get a more well rounded game.

AC Slater - Melvin by KO.

I'll bump this thread and laugh at you all when this takes place.

This is off topic - But have you talked to Zack, since Saturday when were all at The Max? Cause I haven't seen him since. :)

Melvin via speed

ILOVEFIGHTING - Miller is a beast, he will break Melvin's will like others have done. Cant train heart.

New Guillard has heart and no longer lack discipline thanks to Sensei Jackson.

I think Melvin's confidence is way up because of Jackson but until we see him in hot water again, we know not.

BzGrappla - lol this is exactly the kind of fighter miller wants no part of.

Guillard is gonna smash his face in pretty easily

Yeah, he definitely wouldn't be able to handle a one dimensional striker with a shoddy ground game.

If Jim Miller beats Henderson and doesn't get an immediate title shot, it's fucking shenanigans!

I dont see stalling and climbing back up the fence working against Miller.

And if Miller can drop Bang Ludwig standing I think he can survive against Guillard long enough to place Melvin into his own personal hell on the ground.

HELWIG -  I dont see stalling and climbing back up the fence working against Miller.

100%. It would look like Melvin vs. Joe Stevenson 2.0... only faster.

Miller deserves his shot should he beat Bendo. I wouldn't mind seeing Guillard vs Guida in Houston. See if he really wants to test his mettle. Phone Post

Miller is also a very, very strong guy for LW. Melvin will be quicker and have the prettier boxing, but Miller will be better at everything that matters. I would favor Miller heavily in this matchup. I'd favor Miller against anyone not named Edgar, Maynard, Melendez and Alvarez....And he probably wins 2/4 of those matchups. I only like Frankie and Gil over him

Guilliard has been great lately, but Jim Miller is his perfect foil.  Miller has a good enough chin to eat some shots and his pace on the ground is relentless.  He wont let Melvin get comfortable and bounce around picking his shots like Roller did.

Miller shouldnt have to fight Melvin if he beats Bendo.  I would really prefer to see either Melvin vs Pettis or Melvin vs Guida. Scary to say, but with Melendez probably coming over within a year, the LW division needs to weed out some of the contenders.

Melvin vs. Gil would be an amazing fight.

great way to get Gil introduced to UFC fans by running an MMA clinic on Guillard
