First, I apologize for breaking forum etiquette by making this my first post. I'm not selling anything but I did create this site. We're still working on it but feedback is always helpful. The site is FREE. We are not making money. It's just a cool ass idea we wanted to explore. Check it out. And tell us whats awesome and what sucks.
Jitslab.com
Jitslab.com is a site that myself and two teammates have created with the intent to help jiu jitsu players get a clear look at their own game.
It allows you to watch a video and tag techniques in real time as they happen. That data is then used to create charts and graphs, as well as highlight or lowlight playlists. A bar chart of your performance at IBJJF or a line graph of your average scoring pattern. Or select "show me every armbar I have ever been caught in" and watch yourself get subbed over and over until your figure out why. Or you can choose to see "every triangle I have ever hit" and show your mom how good you are.
Here's an example of how the tagging works:

All you need to try it out is a video uploaded to youtube.
Thanks.

Interesting. Seems like a great idea. I will have to look into that further from home tonight
ttt for deeznuts. hope all is well brother
Love this idea, love that you're doing it for free...
If you can get a couple big names involved, not discrediting you in anyway, but some big name black belts to get behind for star power and you may have a gold mine.
Bro.. I'm like a really good blue belt.
Seriously though, thanks guys! And thanks to those of you that have checked it and offered feedback. It's appreciated.
And here is a submission playlist of Kron Gracie. We don't share users stats or videos so this is not from his personal account which may or may not exist.. but may.. or not. I'm saying you can't find anything on the internet where he says that he does not use Jitslab.

This is very interesting

Pretty cool idea. I know there are sites, I think hudl.com or something, that football coaches use to track their plays. Seems similar, and this could be pretty successful
Awesome idea. Seems like a lot of work for a non profit service though. What's your end game with the site?
Thanks guys!
Easters, that football site looks serious. I'm going to check out how they use the data that a video provides. When you tag a video on Jitslab we record the data including, points, technique, attempted vs completed and the time of the match that it happened. So the data is there for us to use. I'm not sure how the football tool extends into that type of use. But I'm definitly going to check it out.
Shinsplint, It's a lot of work for a non profit service. It is. Someday, it will blow up and we will get jiu jitsu rich and not have to pay for Gis anymore. We joke that the office will be matted and attire will be the gi. All company disputes and business disagreements will be settled by way of sub only, no time limit matches. The dream anyway. In actuality, we hope to keep it free for members and figure out other ways to monetize it. For now, we just want people to use it and tell us how to make it better. Then we'll figure the rest out.
Thanks again for the feedback!
