Joe couldn't catch a break w/God thanking fighters

I'm not an atheist so I'm fine with that but I thought it could be a little disheartening for an outspoken agnostic Rogan to have majority of the fighters he interviewed after their wins last night thanking Jesus Christ instead of answering his first question..

Like many of us atheists, I really dont think Joe gives a shit.

I'd like to give a shoutout to Jesus for this thread. It's all because of his glory. Phone Post 3.0

Because we put Jesus first. Even before Joes first question :-) Phone Post 3.0

Surprised Bisping didn't thank Jesus. Phone Post 3.0

It seems like the proportion of fighters who are devout enough to believe their wins are due to God/Jesus is vastly higher than the general population.

Pretty rude to Joe, no? Or any interviewer for that matter Phone Post 3.0

Joe doesn't care what these guys believe in. Not disheartening at all the moment is about the fighter. Also you called Joe an atheist first, then wrote he is an agnostic. Big difference, for the record which is he? Phone Post 3.0

I don't think Joe cares. He actually practicea what he preaches. He seema like a pretty tolerant guy.

Versus the loud minority of atheists on Facebook that brag about being atheist all day and preach love and tolerance and then comment on 1 like=1 prayer posts: "OMG KEEP UR GOD TO YOURSELF IN THE PRIVACY OF YOUR HOME U CRO MAGNONS"

I think fighters believe in God at a higher rate because having a higher power to pull strength from can keep you going even when what you're doing is fucking insane.

I think it's more likely the poor background thing. Phone Post 3.0

It is so weird. I know atheists in real life that understand why fighters thank God. Are most Internet atheist just stupid? When a fighter thanks God he is practicing humility. He is saying that without the inner peace of his God he could not make it through the rigorous training. He is thanking God for his health. He is thanking God for his life. He is pronouncing the glory of God in what should be his own glorious moment. He is reminding himself and others that at this most amazing moment in his life that he realizes that he is nothing without God.
Have you ever seen a fighter thank a mother or a coach? Did that mother or coach enter his body and force the win? No he won with his own skill, strength and determination. He is saying he could not be where he is at without his mother and coaches. Phone Post 3.0

You may be too intelligent to post on this forum full of morons. Have a vu Phone Post 3.0

An individual with a PERSONAL belief has no influence on me, but when religious ideas promote ignorance, bigotry, classism, fascism, and totalitarianism, I will speak my mind.

I personally thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Phone Post 3.0

Jesus Christ has as much to do with the outcome of a mma bout as I Do. It be nice to see a fighter who doesn't graciously suck the holy fathers dick every time puts that mic up. Phone Post 3.0
