Brocton born E. Bridgewater, Mass. resident Joe Lauzon takes us around his hometown.

The Fox Sports My Hometown video series takes the audience along as athletes give a tour of their hometowns, while telling stories of how their roots got them to where they are today.
"People say I have really good hips for Jiu-Jitsu," said Lauzon. "I think that is 100% from riding horses, you know? Feeling how the horses moves, and sticking to the horse, I think was a big part of the whole thing."
"The way we were raised, being around my dad, being around the shop, I've definitely learned - figure out where I want to be, and figure out how to get there."
I have to wait til after work to watch but i love seeing stuff like this. Joe's my favorite fighter so it's cool getting to see where he came from. It's always nice watching UFC prime time and stuff like that to get to know the fighters a little more than just their interviews and their fights

Joe Lauzon -

This is just part 1

I was going to talk shit because of the content (good hips for jj)but Joe looks crazy, like i'll find you and kill you crazy... lulz.

I wan't even talk shit on the internet that's how much Joe scares me!!!
Looking forward to the next part. This was a fairly short clip. Wish they would heve released the whole thing at once.... Know that's not your decision, Joe.
Good job. Making MA proud. Braintree here, also a former wentworth comp sci guy. Bout 10 years before you.
ttt. I have had the pleasure of knowing the Lauzon family for about 13 + years now. Back in 2000 when I was still a shit head kid and having trouble at home, they took me in for almost 6 months, no problems no complaints. His mom was like my 2nd mom for a while and his Dad has always been awesome. That support system is a big reason he is succesful today, and they deserve lots of credit.
Great town to be from as well, and a great family in that town.

What a great story, Jason.
I've always had a great love for the New England area, and Massachusetts specifically. When my little sister went to law school in Cambridge, I lived with her for a while and got to explore places outside of Boston (my favorite was Salem). Everything was just so beautiful. Coming from Miami which is so radically different gives you an appreciation for other places (though I still wouldn't trade growing up on the beach for anything).
And Lauzon's dad reminds me of my dad, they even look alike. What a great family.

I only think I've ever voted up one other person, but you earned that one for sure. Awesome story, and thanks a ton for giving us a glimpse of it.
