Joe rogan on peds

don't know but i mention this in the "The Rock on PEDs" thread. i think in studies it has been proven on mice that even after the roid use the muscle stays strong. on humans it would be some type of muscle memory that could affect up to 10 years. can't blue link but this was a random Google search article i found on it www.physoc.org/press-release/2013/steroids-muscle

He's not a fighter Phone Post 3.0

Ok, I don't know shit about shit about this but isn't most strength mental. You can lift a car by yourself, your mind just doesn't think it can right? So it stands to reason that if your nervous system was trained via steroids to lift heavy things, there would be some "muscle memory" for lack of a better word to be stronger later in life than you would have been otherwise. Even 20 years later?

Doesn't HGH have permanent effects ? Phone Post 3.0

? Of course he is. Tae Kwon Do tournaments, training at a top gym in the nation and he's likely done jiu jitsu tourneys as well make him a "fighter". Not a UFC fighter but he's commentated on enough of them that I'd take his word on something over most.

I thought the conversation started with saying steroids have been around less than 100 years, and he was predicting that eventually they won't be stopped because there will be an undetectable steroid that once you're on it you will be changed permanently.

He was saying that given the advent of dna engineering for babies someday scientists will alter them to be genetic, steroid-like freaks.

Interesting. How would the body keep the muscle mass and strength after you remove the source (steroid) of the gain?

False. Phone Post 3.0
Not false. Unless you use a pct and/or jump on another stack, eventually you will lose your gains. It may take up to 6 months but it will happen Phone Post 3.0
Lol yes false, as long as you maintain the muscle. Look at Overeem, he is still huge just not as shredded as he was on roids Phone Post 3.0

There are studies which indicate that steroid users may indeed have lifelong advantage even after discontinuance

I've summarized these here:

I came to post this. Used properly, the gains from PEDs can be retained to some degree; such that you will be better off than of you had never done PEDs Phone Post 3.0

Well put Doctor.

Muscle memory, how does it work....
You'll lose some mass after a cycle, but you'll retain some of the gains if you continue to exercise accordingly.

Says who? You or one of your boyhood buddies that did a two week cycle of dbol back in the day?

Don't ask a question you don't know the answer to and then question the correct answer.

I think he might be talking about the idea that our brains stay stop when we might be about to damage something.

It's the super adrenaline boost "mom lifts car off baby thing", while that may not be a real thing, the idea that in times of severe crisis the brains disengages all brakes and lets you fly as close to the sun as you can.

If you're a computer geek, think of it like this way. It's like running a super hot super unstable overclock. For a few minutes you are running your processors at an unheard of level. Then they cook and everything blows up ;p
