Joe Soto was just named as the replacement to fight Michinori Tanaka at UFC 195. He is replacing Russell Doane, who is out with an injury.
For those of you who remember, Joe Soto was the last second-replacement for Renan Barao when he had weight cut issues going into the rematch with Dillashaw. Dillashaw knocked him out in the 5th round, but Soto fought valiantly and single-handedly saved the card. He since fought Anthony Birchak and did not look great in another KO loss, and he got all the way to the finals of the Eddie Bravo invitational before being submitted by Eddie Cummings. His wrestling and BJJ are top notch, and I hope he can put on a good show at 195.

Yeah I really want to see him pull this one off. He has a lot of potential. The stand-up didn't look great against Birchak, but the guy stood toe to toe with Dillashaw and didn't look as bad so I'm interested to see what he has for Tanaka.
