Joel Tudor beats Rani Yahya at US Nationals!

Joel beat Rani in the finals via triangle in first min!

Awesome Job!

He submitted all three guys he faced today to bring home the gold!

CONGRATS my friend!!

WOW!!! !!!!!

Awesome for him.

Where is Joel's team mate Furacao?

they must be going crazy at BJJ Revolution in SD!!

i want to see video - rani is tough as hell to tap at least not in the gi as far as i know

thats what makes it so awesome!

I'm sure there will be vids!

Wow- that is an awesome achievement. Looks like he is around 33 years old too? Congrats to the "old" guy!

 whoa, congrats.

very cool.

Hey guys - back from the tourney!

Joel was ON FIRE today!!!

First match he tapped Gracie Barra Blackbelt by kneebar in 1 minute

2nd fight he faced MEGATON - tapped Megaton by toehold in 3 minutes

3rd fight against Rani (who is a close friend of mine - so it killed me to watch) - but Joel and I have come up together and have been pushing each other hard for this one. Joel worked his grips from open and shot a quick DEEP triangle in 30 seconds. Got DEEPER when Joel hooked the opposite leg and brought Rani down. Rani fought as long as he could be he HAD to tap or was going to go out... O talked to Rani after and he said he thought he was going to sleep..

I am so PROUD of Joel and all the hard work he has been putting in since we got our Blacks. To beat Megaton and Rani and the entire division by quick taps was too much.

This was Joel's day and with those defintive wins he made his mark with the top Blacks.

I dont have video because I was coaching Joel but I'm sure there will be some soon because our guys taped it.

I ended up getting 2nd place in my Black Belt Divison. I had to jump up to middle weight because nobody was in the old guy LW division - I think I was giving up 20 lbs to each guy since I weighed in at 162. Tapped my first guy by Kimura at about 3 minutes in after passing 3 times (unfortunately my LCL popped on my last knee slide pass - sore as hell right know) I then went to finals got a few advantages for some near sweeps from X but couldnt close them. We stood after the last attempt and my guy pulled, swept me and got the 2 for the win.

Unfortunately as a team BJJ Revolution lost the US National title to Saulo's University. WE got 2nd place in the team points. We have won the title the last 4 years in a row and have a HUGE rivarly with Saulo's place in San Diego. Props to them, they had a ton of tough guys and gutted it out.

WAR TUDOR!!!<!--Session data-->

ttt

HUGE rivalry? doesnt Tudor do his training at Saulo's? And did privates there?

Great win by Tudor!

Awesome win by Tudor! Furacao, how old is Joel? If he's over 30, props to him for doing the regular division.

I never heard of Joel till now and heard things about him from other black belts. I'm glad that I recorded this match.

for jjd

I was on the phone w/ my team mate when he tapped Megaton, and the place exploded! That guy is no longer under ANYONE'S radar!

Cowboy, when are you coming back to Ohio!? I want to train w/ you! I had a great time at the seminar and look forward to another one!

Travis- Brown Belt- Ruffhouse

Wow! That's awesome! A huge accomplishment, congrats to Joel!!!
