Looks like the Australian government to me but that’s not a surprise to anyone

I’ve heard the UFC has a hard time getting fighters to agree to fight in places like Australia because they take so much out of the paycheck. If you have any standing in the company, they should pass on fighting there unless there is a renegotiation for that specific fight pay.

Also I thought the airfare was covered up to 2(?) cornermen. Did Makdessi have to pay for a third guy?

Yugoslob got in there before me.

Now there’s the answer as to why Australia always gets shitty fight cards.

And it’s amazing to me that the premier fight organization in the world doesn’t even provide airfare for their fighters. That’s pathetic.

Foreign federal tax 45%. Fuck fighting there.

On the other hand, I’d like to see a pay stub from someone fighting in Dubai.

nevermind

Also do you guys remember when the UFC delayed in getting the match between Adesanya and Strickland set up. We speculated that it had to do with pay and Australia. Strickland’s manager negotiated that to the wire.

30k for 6 weeks work if you include a camp is pretty solid.

Edit 45% is pretty fucked. I hope his accountant gets it back at eofy

Same reason fighters stopped accepting fights in Canada and EU/UK.
