Mad Xyientist - you left out the most interesting rule of all: there are no decisions.
Any fight that goes the distance is ruled a draw.
That is correct. It forces fighters to finish fights and it prevents questionable decisions. Some fighters feel that this is the purest form of rules.
However, I can see the complaints against it.
This rule can be seen as a double-edge sword but there has been more positive than negative so far.
Iam seriously JACKED about AOW growing and expanding but the no judges rule is HORRIBLE.....
All it does is not force guys to try and finish....it makes the guy who thinks he is losing FIGHT FOR A DRAW because a DRAW is better than a LOSS (see Ken/Royce II).
Fedor vs. Nog or Fedor vs. CroCop were not DRAWS.........there is a CLEAR winner.......that rule alone will make a lot of fighters NOT WANT TO FIGHT for the Promotion....
Beyond all that the rules are better than PRIDE (allowing elbows) and the round structure (10+5 & 10+5+5 for championship fights)
I hope AOW DOMINATES the Japanese Market and steals all it's major stars and MORE!!!!!!!
I agree that the no judges thing doesn't really work. You just need judge's decisions.
I do think most judges should be a little more liberal with the 10-10 rather than randomly picking a winner in completely even rounds, but the 10 point must is pretty good.
Just confirmed Joachim Hansen, Thales Leites and Cris Cyborg will be in attendance.
wow
real NHB is back. hope it lasts

Do you think guys who fight in hopes for draws will continue to get fights?
