your only almost a week late

It was also reported on Sherdog right after his fight.

Following his mixed martial arts debut Saturday in Los Angeles, former NFL football player Johnny Morton was indefinitely suspended by the California State Athletic Commission after the 35-year-old from Torrance, Calif. refused to take his post-fight anti-doping test, CSAC Executive Officer Armando Garcia told Sherdog.com.

Morton will not be paid the $100, 000 purse he was slated to receive after fighting the Ivory Coast's Bernard Ackah. The former USC Trojan wide receiver fell to Ackah in just 38 seconds when an overhand right dropped him cold to the canvas.

Paramedics attended to Morton in the ring, fitting him for a cervical collar before carrying him out of the ring on a stretcher. He was taken to California Hospital, where Morton's trainer Mike Guymon said he was alert and conscious.

As part of the CSAC's anti-doping policy, Morton provided a sample prior to his fight. Garcia said that sample will be tested.

talk about a humiliating experience overall.

good times....

hold on...Morton was going to get paid $100,000 for his 1st fight?

This thread has gone terribly for I <3 TheGEE. First he totally humiliates himself and then Telfo and Heddy come along and do shit bukkake in his mouth.

$100K for 38 seconds....not bad.

"$100K for 38 seconds....not bad."

It was more like a $100k bonus for 20 years of playing football.

Exactly - too bad he's not going to get anything now - well for him anyway, it's really just his own damn fault.

That's $100k less that FEG lost on the show.

Couldn't he could still fight in Indian Casinos where the state athletic commission has no authority?

Yes he can. And i would like to be the first promoter to offer him $75 to fight and $75 to win! Can someone please put me in contact with Drew Rosenhaus to set this up??!?!

He could fight on Indian land but then the promotion would draw the ire of Athletic commissions and never get sanctioned and would never grow.

100k is probably chump change to Morton so it's not going to further tarnish his image that much.

I don't think 100k is chump change to most average NFL players after they retire, unless they've invested very wisely.

It kind of makes you wonder if an organization would set up a sort of freak show/crossover fight KNOWING it was likely the guy would fail his drug test. It's a huge win for them to have sold whatever tickets Morton's presence would have sold, have the fight go on, and not have to pay him.
