The last time Jon Jones fought on a UFC PPV and he was not the main event, was UFC 126 Silva vs Belfort Feb 5, 2011. Since then Jon has defended his Light Heavyweight title 14 times and been the main event on all 14.
Meanwhile since UFC 194 Aldo vs McGregor, Dec 12, 2015, McGregor has headlined just 5 UFC cards.
Those stats alone would favor Jon Jones not losing his main event status should these two ever fight on the same card. However we all know that in Dana White's world, money talks and all else walks. McGregor being the PPV money king, would most likely end up being the main event if he were to fight on the same card as Jon Jones.
Here's hoping that if that would be the case, Jon tells Dana very firmly, no offense boss, but that is Number 1 Bullshit!
Plus Jon is a champion...would be super weird to have the guy who is arguably #1 P4P and GOAT be a co-main defending his title while Conor fights Cowboy in a non-title fight in the main event.
Mcgregor doesn't appear anywhere but the main event. Jones is a marvel to watch, Mcgregor is a spectacle. Not even close.
Yeah Jones was a "marvel" to watch when he was outclassed by someone his size in Gus. Jones sure was a "marvel" when he got a gift decision over a MW reject who was crippled. Does Jones even have 1 win on his overrated resume that compares to Conor's 13 second humilation of a p4p#1 Aldo? Conor competes and wins in the most talented stacked divisions in MMA history. Jones competes in the weakest division in MMA history. Conor>>>Jones. Plus Conor is the biggest draw in MMA history which overrides everything regardless
If they were both champs, I would assume the heavier weight class would headline.
Since when did this stupid talking point become a thing? All the biggest highest drawing fights were lower weight class fights. The biggest draws in all of combat sports have been lower weight class fighters. From Oscar to Pacquiao to Canelo to Conor. The heavy weights have never mattered. It's just marketing to get people interested in big awkward oafs. Conor is the biggest star in combat sports history and hes a FW/LW. the only HW who's ever even drawn in MMA was Lesnar and that was because he came from the WWE. Before the ESPN+ deal Jones was averaging an absolutely pathetic 500k a PPV. Jones is not even a top 3 all time LHW draw

You have a very unhealthy obsession with mcgregor. Your boy is weak minded, and he's most likely never going to have a another win in the cage. He's a fuckin drunk these days, lost his fire, went nice and soft, anyone can beat his ass now. The secret sauce has been discovered and now, everyone can make a big Mac. Mcgregor is all done now, hopefully you can watch him on dancing with the Stars when gets desperate for attention. He's likely to give up on that as well so... Don't get your hopes up... Do you conner nut huggers all get together and suck each other off just using your tounges? You fuck boi's need a better role model in your life's, I hear khabibs lookin for some followers.. Atleast the bath tub bandits a winner lol
