Jones loses Hamill appeal

http://www.heavy.com/post/jon-jones-loses-hamill-appeal-2433

Not really a shocker of a decision. I thought the NSAC might at least take a closer look at the ending of the fight because of the controversy, but they said they don't overturn decisions and won't even rule on it.

"they said they don't overturn decisions"

Wonderful. "Sorry dude, we know your pay and possibly your career depend on you winning, and we know sometimes the ref might make an obvious mistake in ruling, but we will not overturn a decision."

Good...

 jones got fucked

Everybody knows he would've beat Hammill, but he messed up and broke the rules. Time accept the DQ and move on.

Did anybody think Jones could get it overturned, especially after Anthony Johnson's was unable to overturn his loss via eye-poke to Burns

"did mazz make him throw three or four illegal elbows? sick of the fucking crying about this. dude is a fucking cheater and he lost."

Could be a different situation, for example Johnson/Burns where the ref mistakenly thought he dropped and went fetal from a legal strike and ruled it a TKO, when it was discovered almost immediately afterwards that it was a (third) eyepoke. So Johnson gets a loss, which allows the UFC to cut him if they want or cut his pay in half, and the AC won't overturn the decision even though it was blatantly an error.

Agreed

Really...???

the only thing he lost was the win bonus.

ufc and joe silva are going to look at it like he won.

Jones is just fine.

This is the kind of stuff that makes the UFC look like a joke. Might as well call it WWE

He also threw that illegal spinning elbow in the Bonnar fight that clocked him in the back of the head that wasn't called.

no surprize.

This loss doesn't hurt Jones at all really. Everyone could see he was the better fighter.

the snitch got a taste of his own medicine when he broke the law

now hopefully vera will beat his ass

This is the kind of post that makes you look like a joke.
The NSAC did this not the UFC. If it happened in Strikeforce the same thing would have happened.

Jones gets his appeal denied.
Johnson gets his appeal denied.
NSAC hates blacks.

First of all, the story is they won't HEAR the appeal, so he didn't lose anything, he never got a chance to do it. The appeal was rejected, and not by kizer or the commission

Second, it  the attorney general that rejected it.. it never even got back to the NSAC to do anything.

So those crying about the commission can start crying about the attorney general instead

What is there to hear? He broke the rules. End of story.

While NSAC officials were not immediately available for comment, MMAjunkie.com spoke with NSAC executive director Keith Kizer prior to the decision. Kizer clarified that the decision wasn't actually the NSAC's to make.

The Nevada State Attorney General's office is the first to review appeals, and it is that office's decision to determine whether or not the appeal will be heard by the NSAC.
