Jones needs to stay at 205 for now

He's at 3 successful title defenses and has already beaten better guys than Anderson.

Unquestionable that Rashad, Rampage, Shogun, and Machida are greater wins than Hendo, Franklin 2X, Vitor, & Forrest.

Jones should defend his title at LHW against:

4th defense: Hendo
5th defense: Gustafsson
6th defense: Possible rematch

All he has to do is beat Tito's 5 defense record at LHW to become the LHW goat and then Heavyweight is fair game. Phone Post

Jones should never move to heavy weight. It would only make him slower, and it would even the playing field in regards to the huge advantage he has over fighters at 205.

He would eventually get KO'd by an overhand right at HW, and once you're KO'd your career goes downhill. If I was his manager I would never let him fight HW.

This. Jones would lose the natural advantages he has at LHW.. makes no sense to go HW for any reason.

Jones is too big for LHW. It's the closest thing to cheating other than roiding, he has at least 6" reach on everyone in the division. He's not really proving anything besides the fact that everyone is smaller than him. Phone Post

The natural advantages like being bigger than everybody? You're right, why should he fight guys his own size and have competitive fights people might want to watch. It's much better fighting guys smaller than you where the audience already knows the outcome. I don't know about you but I hate surprises. Mismatches are great.

I'm sure everyone feels the way, that's why everyone is looking forward to Mir vs JDS.

It's not cheating if you can make weight. There's nothing he can do about his long arms and besides his reach, he's not even the biggest guy at LHW. Phone Post

He's not the biggest LHW. Phone Post

Well once a fighter has clean out a division they should chanllenge another weight class and since JJ is not making 185, well...BTW JJ has more that just size and reach on ppl he has some talent so give him a little more credit, if he goes to HW he would do fine.

"It's the closest thing to cheating" Quite possibly the dumbest thing I've read on the UG!

Not really. He has too much reach on everyone at LHW. Nobody is going to get close to him. If he moves to HW then he can actually fight people his own size. Phone Post

Gustaffson only has like 76" reach to bones 84". It's the toughest matchup for bones but its still not worth watching. Phone Post
