Jones will face the winner of Stipe vs Ngannou

If Ngannou wins, there's a rematch and Jon Jones stays on ice for god knows how much more time.

Take Volkov and dance already.

Jones destroys any Heavyweight, it really doesn't matter.

wrong. Blaydes, Francis and Stipe all give Jones some problems. I think if Jones takes on the HW division, It will be the most interesting time in UFC in a very long time. love or hate him.

If it ends up being Jones vs Francis, will they get the card sponsored by Colt 45 and Popeyeā€™s?

This is true. Itā€™s interesting if Jones wins or loses.

Iā€™d love to see him against all of these. Or Lewis even. Iā€™d love to see Lewis get a few rapid fire punches on him as Jones tries to hump him for 5 rounds.

Stipe is a harder fight for JJ then Ngannou.

Depends. Francis is 275. Biggest guy Jones would have to face, of his TDD is on point, good luck.

Conor/Dustin rematch makes sense? To who?

To anyone who understands business and finance.

UFC is a business to make money.

Yep. For casuals. I wonder how many "hardcore" fans will skip that one.

To me it waters down the sport even more into becoming mainstream

To people who understand that holding a UFC belt and being called champion does not necessarily mean ā€œbest fighterā€.  The UFC threw that misconception out a long time ago. Itā€™s about who can sell the most, who can entertain the most. Fighting skills are secondary when it comes to marquee matchups.

sometimes itā€™s a bonus and we actually do get the two best guys (or at least 2 of the best). But again, thatā€™s only a fortunate and occasional bonus.

https://www.bjpenn.com/mma-news/ufc/jon-jones-lambasts-californians-for-passing-pedophilia-let-me-be-real-clear-on-where-i-stand-on-this-topic/

ā€œUnder existing law since 1944, when a person is found by a court to have had vaginal intercourse with a minor 14 years of age or older, and the age difference is not more than 10 years, judges are given discretion as to whether to require that person to register as a sex offender.ā€

With that said, the state of California did not actually legalize pedophilia. Still, SB 145 has numerous individuals up in arms, including former UFC light heavyweight kingpin Jon Jones.

ā€˜Bonesā€™ took to social media where he shared his disgust after hearing news of the passed bill.

ā€œCalifornians passing pedophilia now, let me be real clear on where I stand on this topic, I find you all absolutely fucking disgusting.ā€ ā€“  Jones wrote on Twitter.

I agree it may not make sense but it will sell and even people who may be against the match making, will agree it should be an exciting fight.

Jones is secretly hoping Stipe wins.  No way he wants Fran

Lol i thought for Jones is better to fight Francis, Stipe has too many tools and iq, while francis would be submitted by the 3round end

Again, people declaring Jones king of HW when he barely squeaked by a 185'er with two blown knees.

Why would Jones or the UFC risk fighting a middle of the road heavyweight and the huge payout of a title shot PPV. He loses and can claim the move up was too much.  Lose to a nobody and thatā€™s a huge hit to career

Fuck Jones, he's on a two fight losing streak and he's a crackhead scumbag.

He should have been released from the UFC years ago.

Over 1 1/2 years later and still nothingā€¦

After Dana said thisā€¦

UFC had to create an instant Interim HW title for Gane while they were fighting with Ngannou. Now they need it again and canā€™t use it because they just played that trick.

Stipe got KOed and has not fought since.

Ngannou won and got a defense before going out with a knee injury and contract issues.

Jones got arrested after his UFC HOF induction and has not had a single UFC fight.

@BJ_Penn_Forever at this point if you still get fooled by these JBJ announcements and alleged HW fight plans, thatā€™s on you. File any of these announcements under ā€œbelieve it when I see it,ā€ or better yet donā€™t file them anywhere and focus on real fights.

The talk does not fool me. I just think its somewhat humorous how terrible everything in that division has gone since all this Jones Stipe talk started.

I was bored with the UFC HW division even well before the Stipe DC trilogy started and completely done with it after their second fight.

If Stipe vs Jones does happen, I donā€™t expect Stipe to look good at all and I have no interest in it and donā€™t think it will be a huge PPV, not much over 600k most likely.
