Tko in the second round and Frank Edgar's first time getting finished. Aldo will come out like a hurricane and smash Edgar. I really would like to see Edgar have his turn at McGregor, but Aldo will guarantee that doesn't happen.

I think this fight will go similarly to Edgar vs Mendes, with Frankie coming out on top. Aldo isn't the same fighter that he was 2 or 3 years ago.

Aldo is shot. Nova Uniao guys don't age well. Too much sparring. He's been on a downhill trend until McGregor finished it. Can't believe the odds on this fight. People are going to make a lot of money on Frankie.

These might be the two most well rounded and skilled fighters in the ufc. With Mighty Mouse of course. But theyre well rounded in different ways, frankie is a boxer/wrestler with a black belt in bjj aldo is a Muay Thai/bjj guy with the best take down defense there is. Frankie has better cardio and better chin Id say but it's a bad style match up for him.
frankie wins his fights because he uses his high level boxing and when that doesn't work or when he's facing a better or dangerous striker he mixes in takedowns with his boxing which make them hard to defend and then he gets it to the ground and beats them down. His fight against cub, he realized cub is an excellent boxer, as good or better then he is and has a reach advantage so he might not have won standing up so he'd get into some exchanges and then shoot and killed him on the ground.
But as good as his boxing is Jose aldo is the better striker, we saw it in their last fight, usually I pick he boxer but Jose Aldo's Muay Thai is perfect for mma and doesn't have the holes traditional Muay Thai has in mma. He has a perfect jab, good boxing, amazing knees and the best leg kicks we've seen. He's got frankie beat here and where frankie usually shoots for takedowns in times like these, aldo has near perfect tdd and can stuff pretty much anything so frankie has no choice to fight it on the feet where he's at a disadvantage. Aldo also has lethal knees so shooting on him should be done with extreme caution.
but with all that said, frankie is improving and from the looks of it aldo is on a decline so it might go Frankie's way where before it wouldn't have. It's so hard to say, they're both my favorite fighters but and as much as I think frankie is at his best and aldo is not, it's still hard to bet against aldo knowing the science behind it all. We know Frankie's coming out on fire,cut we don't know how Aldo's coming out so it all depends on that, we really have to wait and see. It will probably be the perfect mma and a beautiful fight if it goes five. And we rarely see a perfect and beautiful mma fight.
I think Aldo is going to come out like a wrecking ball straight from the favelas. He's got a point to prove. Whether that's a good idea vs Edgar I'm not too sure.

Frankie has been in waaayy more "wars" than Aldo has!
Granted, Frankie has looked better in his last few fights than Jose has in his last few but, over their respective careers, Frankie has taken at least twice the punishment that Aldo has!
